Chamber Made - Part 11

Mia's entire body was burning up, every cell vibrating with the desire to escape.  The pain concentrated at her trembling fingertips, which were changing as she raised them up to inspect.  Her neatly manicured nails pushed out slowly from her cuticles until the thin veneer of polish cracked away.  Thick yellowed nails curled out from beneath the flakes of falling scarlet, bunching into sharp tips as they grew before her very eyes.  Sweet Mia Fortuna spluttered and winced.  She was sprouting claws.
